A New Milestone for Marcham Community Fridge
We are pleased to share an important milestone in the development of Marcham Community Fridge CIC: we now have a dedicated bank account in the organisation’s name.
This is a significant step forward for our community project. It means that donations, grants and other income can be received directly by Marcham Community Fridge CIC, while expenses and project costs can be paid from the organisation’s own account. This keeps the CIC’s finances separate from individuals and gives us a clearer, more transparent way to manage the money entrusted to us.
Having our own bank account will also help us apply for funding, receive donations through our website, pay for essential equipment and keep accurate financial records. Every payment into and out of the account will be recorded, supported by receipts or other evidence, and used to further the aims of the CIC.
This account does not mean that our work is finished. We still need to build our fundraising income, secure grants, establish regular collections and continue developing the systems that will help us operate responsibly. However, it gives us a proper financial foundation from which to grow.
We are grateful to everyone who has supported Marcham Community Fridge so far. Opening this account brings us one step closer to creating a reliable, sustainable service that helps reduce food waste and supports people across our local community.
